Jackie Cox has worked as a teacher and counsellor for several years at Harrow School. Jackie also worked successfully at St Paul’s Girl’s School for Girls as the school counsellor.
In September 2010 Jackie joined St. Helen's School in Northwood as the School counsellor.
Jackie works for the UK Boarding Schools Association (BSA) both delivering training days writing boarding schools association briefing papers and training boardingstaff in their national certificate.
She also regularly works for the Girl's Day School Trust and has in the past worked for the Girls' Schools Association, Jackie regularly speaks at Conferences for the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) as their keynote speaker. Jackie has delivered training in many schools in the UK and internationally. Jackie also works for Lighthouse Professional training.
Jackie has a degree in Psychology and a diploma in counselling. She is a very experienced counsellor,teacher and counselling supervisor working in schools and on an independent basis. Her casework, which covers more than 30 years, covers a wide variety of conditions concerning relationship, either with self or others.
Jackie worked as a Samaritan for many years where she undertook prison visits. Later she co-ordinated Harrow Victim Support Scheme and was the first counsellor to be trained specifically to deal specifically with cases of rape.
